100 new children’s book received

The Nicholas County Public Library is pleased to announce that a gift of 100 new children’s books has been received from the Brownstone Book Fund. The Brownstone Book Fund is a private, non-profit foundation based in New York City. This gift is being made to 50 public library systems in Kentucky.

As chairman of the Brownstone Book Fund, Diane Brownstone shares the Nicholas County Library’s vision in providing books for young children, hopefully to excite and foster an early interest in and a lover for books and reading. Diane remembers, “the public library of my youth gave me an addiction to books that has enriched my life and my wish, with this collection, is to give this experience and pleasure to many other young people.”

The Nicholas County Public Library encourages children and their parents to come check out our new collection generously given by the Brownstone Book Fund. If you have any questions please call us at 859-289-5585
